The 2027 idea marks the 10th edition of Habit Golf Week and moves the tradition to Montreux: a walkable Lake Geneva base with golf at Montreux and Evian, plus Crans-Montana as the mountain wildcard. The core week is tentatively Monday 24 May to Friday 28 May, with Saturday 29 May held for a Glacier Express Excellence Class add-on.
| Dates | Mon 24 May – Fri 28 May 2027 |
| Status | Tentative preview; hotels, tee times, and rail plan not yet booked. |
| Base | La Villa Montreux as the suggested base hotel, subject to availability. |
| Golf target | 3 candidate rounds, with a 4th round possible if the week stays relaxed. |
| Extra day | Sat 29 May: Glacier Express Excellence Class concept. |
Montreux gives the week a strong non-golf centre: lakefront walks, easy restaurants, Chillon, Lavaux, and quick train access along the Riviera. The course mix is also properly varied: flat parkland at Montreux, championship theatre above Evian, and alpine drama at Crans-Montana if the logistics feel worth it.
La Villa Montreux looks like the right first hotel target for the 2027 base: small, characterful, directly in Montreux, and close to the lakefront rhythm that makes this destination work.

| Address | Rue du Lac 75, 1815 Clarens/Montreux |
| Rooms | Seven rooms listed by the hotel, all with Lake Geneva views. |

The first pass is Montreux and Evian as the natural anchors, with Crans-Montana as the bigger, more ambitious mountain day.
Despite the name, the club sits in Aigle, close enough to make it the cleanest golf day from a Montreux base. It gives the week a historic Swiss start without forcing a long transfer.
| Location | Route d’Evian 54, 1860 Aigle |
| Course | 18 holes, Par 72 |
| From Base | Short road transfer from Montreux; exact timing to confirm. |
The obvious cross-lake highlight: The Champions Course at Evian Resort Golf Club, home territory for one of women’s golf’s major championships and a polished contrast to Montreux.
| Location | Evian-les-Bains, France |
| Course | The Champions Course, 18 holes, Par 72 |
| Transfer | Road/ferry routing needs checking once tee times are realistic. |
The Severiano Ballesteros course at Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre is the prestige mountain option. It is likely the most memorable round, but also the one that turns a relaxed week into a longer travel day.
| Location | Crans-Montana, Valais |
| Course | Severiano Ballesteros Course |
| Decision | Include if the group wants a proper alpine excursion. |
Montreux + Evian should be the core. Crans-Montana is the special day, but it needs a tee time and transport plan that do not punish the evening. A fourth round could be a replay at Montreux or a lighter local alternative once the hotel and restaurant base is clearer.
This is the premium flourish for Saturday 29 May: panoramic Swiss rail, table service, and a full-day route across the Alps. It is also the piece that needs the most logistics work.
| Fri 28 May | Check out of Montreux after the golf week and transfer to Zermatt for the night, or skip the final dinner and make the move after lunch. |
| Sat 29 May | Take the Glacier Express Excellence Class from Zermatt towards St. Moritz. |
| Afterwards | Overnight in St. Moritz/Chur or continue onward depending on flights and stamina. |
Excellence Class is capacity-limited and date-sensitive. The practical question is not whether it is attractive; it is how to avoid turning the end of the golf week into an exhausting transfer puzzle.
The page should stay marked as preview until route direction, hotel nights, luggage handling, and reservation windows are checked.
| Hotel | Check La Villa Montreux availability, room mix, parking, and whether the whole villa can be held for the group. |
| Rounds | Confirm whether the target is 3 rounds or 4 rounds. |
| Crans | Decide if Crans-Montana is worth the longer transfer and alpine-day energy. |
| Dining | Build a walkable dinner list once the hotel area is chosen. |
| Tee times | Check visitor days and preferred times for Montreux, Evian, and Crans-Montana. |
| Transport | Decide car vs train/taxi mix, especially for Evian and Crans. |
| Glacier | Confirm the route direction and whether Friday night moves from Montreux to Zermatt. |
| Luggage | Plan luggage transfer/storage for the rail add-on. |
